Week 10
Welcome to this week’s language centre blog and the final entry of the term. It has been wonderful to see the excellent progress made by learners across the language centres.
Highlights of the Week
We had a lot of fun learning about three new characters this week: Puw Panad, Olwen, and Llywelyn Llwyd.
Learners enjoyed taking part in creative activities through drama, role-play, and fun games. Through these activities, they had the opportunity to develop their Welsh in a lively and exciting way, using the language in real-life situations.
We also read the highly enjoyable story “Drych yr Amgueddfa”, followed by a variety of language games.
There was plenty of laughter as the children performed this week’s drama, “Problem Puw Paned”. In the play, Puw orders something sweet from Mr Bowen… but through a very funny mistake, a delicious Kit-Kat gets mixed up with cat food, Kit-e-Kat! The children’s performances were full of energy, acting talent, and endless laughter. Everyone certainly went home with smiles on their faces and stories to share!
It was a final week full of celebrating the children’s achievements, with fond memories, laughter, and games while reflecting on the highlights of the term. As they return to their schools, we wish everyone the very best as they continue their journey in learning Welsh.
