Year 5 and 6 Gornest Lyfrau

On Thursday, 18 June at the Arad Goch Centre, Aberystwyth, we held the national Year 5 and 6 Gornest Lyfrau Final. 

During the day pupils from schools across Wales discussed books, watched their adverts on the big screen, created blurbs and covers, and took part in a workshop with the author Siôn Tomos Owen. 

A huge congratulations to Ysgol Cymerau for representing Gwynedd. Thank you to the pupils for their effort and success, and to the school staff for their support in ensuring that the pupils had this special experience.

The winners were as follows: 
1st – Cwm Banwy School representing Powys 
2nd - Treganna School representing Cardiff 
3rd - Cymerau School representing Gwynedd
