Llafar Gwlad

This has been another highly successful year for the Llafar Gwlad School Twinning Project.

The project aims to connect primary schools across Wales to encourage and develop pupils' spoken Welsh language skills. This year, schools from Gwynedd, Anglesey, Powys, Ceredigion, Flintshire and Wrexham took part by creating a video introducing their school and local area. They then shared their videos with schools of a similar size before participating in an online question-and-answer session.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Ysgol Pentreuchaf and Ysgol Maenofferen for representing Gwynedd this year. It was a pleasure to see the pupils interacting with one another, growing in confidence when using Welsh, and learning more about communities and local areas across Wales.

We look forward to another year of collaboration, shared experiences, and celebrating the Welsh language together.
